The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders earlier claimed at a news conference in Karachi that since the Sindh government revoked the notification about delimitation, there is no longer any law. Prior to the creation of additional constituencies, municipal elections cannot be held.

Farogh Naseem, a former minister of law, predicted that the right constituencies would be used for the elections. In addition to running in the election, MQM will also declare victory.

According to Farogh Naseem, the disputed constituencies should be established to protect Karachi's rights. Karachi elections will be divisive until the constituencies are set. He said that at the UCs where MQM had a vote bank, there were more voters.

MQM Senator Faisal Sabzwari stated that simply hanging banners won't grant Karachi the right in this case. We are not avoiding the elections; the opposition will be vanquished when the organised MQM casts its ballot.

According to Faisal Sabzwari, the population of Karachi should be accurately estimated, revealing that a city of three crores with 1.5 crores will not be able to solve the issues.
