Customs operations in Balochistan, seizure of luxury vehicles and smuggled goods
Operations were conducted in Quetta, Kolpur, Zhob, Dalbandin,
Mashkil, Rakhni and Nushki, officials said.
In the operations of Balochistan Customs against smugglers,
smuggled goods worth more than 20 crore rupees were seized.
According to the customs officials, Quetta Customs foiled the
smuggling attempts during the operations, 20 non-customs paid vehicles and
other goods were recovered during snap checking in different areas of Quetta
city, the value of seized goods is more than 20 crore rupees.
Officials say that 10 valuable vehicles were seized during
the checking in different areas of the province, copper scrap, valuable clothes
and other goods were recovered on the national highway.
According to the report, copper iron steel bars, cloth,
gutka, cigarettes were also seized in the operation at Kolpur, while dry milk
and other smuggled goods were seized at Dalbandin check post.
Officials say that 15,000 liters of Iranian diesel were
recovered from a truck at Zhob and dry milk, diesel, fertilizer and non-customs
paid vehicles were seized at Mashkil, Rakhni, Nushki check posts.
