In a statement on Sunday, the Federal Information Minister said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and instructed Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi to take steps to bring justice to Rizwana. He said that the government will play every possible role so that the perpetrators are punished according to the law. He said that no society can tolerate such oppressive elements, those who bring Rizwana to this situation should be severely punished according to the law.

He said that the incident is a very shameful and condemnable example of child labor and brutal treatment of them. Federal Information Minister appealed to the nation to pray for Rizwana's recovery. He said that everyone has to work together to get rid of the physical and mental trauma that Rizwana suffered, giving justice to this girl is a big test for the reputation of the judiciary.
