Detailed report on mysterious deaths in Ali Muhammad Goth
The teams of the health department could not reach the final conclusion yet
The Sindh Health Department has issued a detailed report on the mysterious deaths in Ali Muhammad Goth area of District Kemari.
The report states that 18
deaths occurred in Ali Muhammad Goth of UC 8 of Kemari district during 20 days.
The teams of the Health Department and the Environment Agency obtained samples
in the area from January 26 to 28. The matter was investigated for three days.
The report said that
there are a total of 935 residents in Ali Muhammad Goth, whose blood and mucus
samples were taken, corona tests were conducted and chest x-rays were also
done.

According to the report, samples of water in the area have also been obtained.
The report said that the
investigation team has so far reached two conclusions, the first is that the
deaths were due to measles and its complications, while the second is the toxic
fumes from the factories.
Children's measles
samples have been sent to the NIH and private labs for testing environmental
samples, the report said. There was cough, chest pain and breathing
difficulties.
According to the report,
the children had symptoms similar to pneumonia, including red eyes, burning
eyes, dry mouth, headache, nausea, stomach pain.
The report of the Sindh
Health Department stated that there were a total of 49 victims in the area, of
which 15 died, 26 victims lived in 6 houses that are close to the factories.
According to the Health
Department, 40 of the victims were under the age of 11, not all of them had
been vaccinated.
According to the report,
when the teams reached the area, there was a strong stench in the area.
During the investigation,
it was found that as a result of the factory starting from January 5, the
residents of the area suddenly faced breathing problems.
The Sindh Health
Department has also tested blood samples and environmental samples due to the
suspicion of measles outbreak and underground gases, the final report is
awaited.
