Karachi: A police officer was murdered after being shot in the Lines area.

The accused motorcycle riders opened fire on the police officers in Linezaria area of Karachi. ASI Iqbal was killed in the firing while SHO Brigade was unharmed.

According to the details, SHO Khalid Rafiq and ASI Iqbal were going on a motorcycle when they were fired upon. The deceased ASI Iqbal received 4 bullets.

ASI Iqbal, who died in the incident, was posted in Investigation Police Station Brigade.

Speaking to the media, DIG East Muqadas Haider said that a report of a dispute was received on Police helpline 15. The police mobile had reached the spot.

Muqadas Haider says that the SHO and ASI of the motorcycle had a fight with the robbers. ASI Iqbal was martyred by the firing of robbers.
