Sources say that the Election Commission has started considering strict action on the Sindh government's notification, and it was discussed in the meeting that all the debris of the amendments in the Local Government Act was put on the Election Commission, which is wrong.

The Election Commission suspended the Sindh government's notification and announced that the local elections scheduled for January 15 in Sindh will be held on time.

The Election Commission says that the Interior Ministry will be asked again to deploy the army at the most sensitive polling stations.

On the other hand, the Election Commission has issued a written order related to the Sindh Local Government Elections, in which it has been said that the Supreme Court has ordered to conduct the local government elections on time in several decisions.

In the decree, the Election Commission ordered the Chief Secretary Sindh to make fool-proof arrangements for the polling and asked the IG Sindh to ensure security measures at the polling stations.

The Election Commission has instructed the Secretary and the Special Secretary to reach Karachi immediately and said that the Special Secretary Election Commission should contact the relevant authorities, all the arrangements regarding the polling should be ensured in time.
